Focusing on the countries and communities most affected by HIV, the 2014 Africa Goal campaign will build on, and strengthen, partnerships established during the previous two campaigns – following a similar route from Kenya, in Eastern Africa, to Swaziland, in Southern Africa. One important addition to the 2014 route is Western Kenya and Uganda, where the events will be held in rural fishing villages (both on the mainland and on off-shore islands), which have some of the highest HIV rates in East Africa.
The 2014 route take the Africa Goal team through Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Swaziland.
